How a solution to my overflowing closet became my passion…

and ultimately Label Library:

Like most women I know, I have an overflowing closet. Many of the items taking up residence there still have price tags attached and are waiting patiently to be worn.

Once upon a time, I donated my clothes to local thrift stores just to get them out of the house. But I began to notice that I was keeping much more than I should; I didn’t want to just give away that Lilly Pulitzer dress, even if it didn’t fit. Clearly, this wasn’t working.

When I ran out of closet space, my mom, thankfully, introduced me to consignment stores! I loved the idea of being able to sell the clothes that I was no longer wearing (or never wore); I was on board.  But then this revelation hit me hard: I was only receiving $10 for my new with tags Alice + Olivia tops (which cost upwards of $250 apiece). There had to be a better way!

After some research, I began my foray into selling clothes online. I had immediate, positive results. This process was labor intensive, but I loved reselling. Once I ran out of personal items to sell, I started selling for friends and family. This was the gateway to rummaging at estate sales, vintage shops, and other consignment stores seeking those “diamonds in the rough” items and, ultimately, to taking on consignors. I was living my dream: curating a collection of unique, quality designer pieces—at a price that my clientele loved—while helping women just like me maximize the return on their closet.  It was win-win!

In April of 2017, I decided to leave my corporate job to help women, just like me, liquidate the assets that they have hanging in their closets. I love what I do and I am so grateful that I get to pursue my reselling passion every day because of wonderful clients like you!
